  the more i'm reading and thinking about what i have previously learned it just opens a whold new can of worms.. my husband and i have been reading/comparing the nwt, diaglot, reference bible, etc.

  and i saw where the society added words, changed meaning, even added an entire sentence without ().

  i have seen where they have emphasized sayings in the watchtower that are not in the bible like "paradise earth".

  I've been out for a very long time. The reason I left in the first place and became inactive was out of deep depression, I felt dead as a JW. Later I was DF while out (story too long) . The only reason I recently started investigating was that a very close family member started studing, and for some reason I was prompted to investigate for the first time just a couple years ago. I WAS IN SHOCK to come accross all that I now know about the WTS, therefore my name mind blown!!

  Thank you Blondie for also posting your info, every little bit I can get has been of much help!

  hey for a group of people who have been conned and lied to i get that we are a suspicious bunch.

  then yesterday i tried reading something that started by posting a quote from a wt.

  Why the Memorial Is Held on the Wrong Day

  tonight on the evening of april 18, 2011, observant jews worldwide will celebrate passover seder, a night "different from all other nights".

  the watchtower society annually schedules the memorial for jehovah's witnesses on a date that is supposed to coincide with the jewish observance of passover, as it would have been reckoned during second temple times (in particular, in the first century ad during the life of jesus).

  this year the memorial was observed last night, the evening of april 17. the two religious observances are thus a day out of synth, at least this year.

  But which would be the correct date or day??? From what I get from your post it woudn't be a constant....but would flucuate according to the new moons ebbs and flows???

  It's MOST important these brothers get an attorney!!

  The legal system does not play fair or nice. They need someone to keep them from showing their full hand (giving their opponent time and information to counteract/counter attact as well as stop motions...etc. It's not a game of emotion but of skill. Please urge them to do so, there's some attorneys that take on high profile cases and the ACLU that was suggested above is a great avenue.........

  it's an extremely valuable piece of proof that utterly demolishes the watchtower claim of "extra kings" and "extra time" being inserted into the discussion!.

  it's a good thing this case was dismissed and now has moved on to Federal Court.

  Civil cases are not as weighty as Federal Criminal Cases. Civil cases are generally brought by private individuals or corporations seeking to collect money owed or monetary damages.

  A Criminal Case in response to a suspected violation of law and seeks a fine, a jail sentence or both.

  If charges are imposed in Federal Court, this case will without question will be news worthy. The brothers just need to make sure they do not settle out of court and or sign a gage order if things get nasty, which will be their down fall like many others.

  Fantastic News! And your Son sounds like a lovely young man

  Yes, at this point he needed your direction in what to say to his boss and what time he should go in etc., he's still young and inexperienced and will most likey need a more tips in the near future. However, encourage him to use his own thinking skills in the process too (well, what time do you think would be a good time to go in, etc. turning the question back to him) it will do him well and help him to think and disern. I'm just trying to encourage you Diana because it has helped my daughter is so many ways. She's one smart cookie now and the outside world can be a tricky place.

  This was a HUGE learing lession for him into man hood! Congratulations mama! I wish you both well

  My girl started working part time at 16 and bought her own car at 17. I told her if she was going to be a slaker at school (she hated school), she was going to have to get a job to learn responsibility. By the time she got older and went through a few jobs, I had suggested a line of work (knowing her personality and likes) that i could she may excel in. She finally took my advice on how to get started and is now making 3 times the money I've ever made and she's working with kids. Tuff
